The tiny cooking trend is heating up. So much so that now you can learn to do it yourself. At Britain’s first ever tiny cookery school, it was launched by events company Foozie Bristol.

The company’s founder, CEO and a true to core food fanatic, Thom Whitchurch, was inspired after seeing a tiny cooking video online. Tiny cooking has built up a cult following online but the trend is now being brought to life at the Tiny Cookery School.

“I knew I had to do something with it and people have really been able to enjoy tiny cooking on videos on YouTube and other social media,” says Mr. Whitchurch.

The school teaches people to make a few dishes, everything from mini meatballs, tiny fajitas, tiny pumpkin pies and even fish finger sandwiches which can be held between the forefinger and thumb. A regular stove won’t do much good here, tea light is your primary source of energy, set in an elaborately made stove where bite-sized meals are cooked over in saucepans the size of a 50p piece. Everything is really made down to scale. Events are set for Bristol, London, Cardiff and Birmingham. They have plans to offer classes for private parties as well. And yes, the food is tiny but people have really developed a big taste for it.

“I wanted to bring tiny cooking to the masses, I wanted people to actually experience the awesomeness first hand,” adds Mr. Whitchurch.

Bon a petit!
