Ron DeSantis BANS Teens From Social Media! Good or Bad Idea?

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis just signed a Bill that strictly prohibits the use of Social Media for teens. Access to platforms will be allowed, at the parents leisure, starting at 14 years old. Unfettered access begins at 16, but if you are any younger than that, you are out of luck in the Sunshine State.

Any legislation that curtails access via government force deserves questioning, even one as well meaning as this. What appears to be a step in the right direction, could easily turn into a nightmare scenario if the power gets into the wrong hands.
