Lingering winter is making for extra business for metro Detroit travel agents

It is the first day of Spring, even though it doesn’t really feel like it. Many say this winter was a little too cold for their liking, which is why they have been jetting off to warmer weather. “As soon as the first snow hits the ground we get calls about people wanting to get out of town,” said Lisa Simon. She is a travel agent with The World of Travel in Bloomfield Hills. They’ve seen an uptick on folks trying to get away from the cold weather.
