B533 - Mar 24, 2024 Footsteps of Yeshua

There is a great deal of confusion regarding the events and the timing of the last week of Yeshua's Ministry, before He was crucified. Between the Hebrews that don't believe in Yeshua as the Messiah and the Orthodox Church, which has made many millions of dollars off the subject, the actual details have become distorted and confusing.

Yeshua came into Jerusalem on Lamb Selection Day (Abib 10), which was a Sunday that particular year, and was celebrated by the Hebrew people as the long awaited savior of Israel. Organized religion celebrates that day as Palm Sunday, even though those same cheering people would be calling for the death of Yeshua four days later.

Yeshua had a last meal with His disciples on preparation day for the Pesach offering, which would be the next day. It was not a Pesach meal or seder, and there was no unleavened bread mentioned in the Bible at the event.

Yeshua was sacrificed the next day at 3PM on the 14th day of Abib, exactly as God's Word instructed the lambs to be offered up to Yehovah. The Sun was darkened for three hours prior to the death of Christ, to prevent any other Pesach lambs from being offered on the altar at the temple.

Yeshua was taken from the cross by Pharisee believers and placed in the new tomb of Joseph of Arimathea. He layed there in the tomb throughout both the Pesach Sabbath and the Weekly Sabbath and was raised up by Yehovah early Sunday morning.

Christ was sacrificed on the 14th day of Abib and was raised up after three days and three nights in the tomb. Golgotha is on the Mount of Olives and the crucifixion of Yeshua was at a location visible from the front steps of the Temple. (See Red Heifer instructions.)

The more you know about Yehovah's Plan of redemption for mankind and the Truth of His Word, the stronger your faith will be. That is what believers are called to be doing, building their faith.

Trust in Yehovah with all of your heart and do not trust in your own abilities. Cry out to Yeshua and accept His free gift of redemption for your life and be filled with the Holy Spirit from Yehovah. Trust in the Plan that will never fail!
