A United Nations Security Council Resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza for the month of Ramadan (until April 9th) has passed with 14 votes, and with the United States abstaining.

It calls for the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages on both sides, calls for respect to detainees under the regulations of international law, and demands removal of all barriers to the provision of humanitarian aid at scale.

Israeli PM Netanyahu also cancelled a delegation to Washington because The United States refused to veto the resolution, after his threats this morning.
