Paul Laurence Dunbar - A Negro Love Song - Great poems

"A Negro Love Song" is a poem written by the African American poet and novelist Paul Laurence Dunbar. The poem is about an African American man walking his girlfriend home after a date at night. The man shows his affection and love towards his girl. The man asks her if she loves him as much as he loves her, and she says that she does.
Paul Laurence Dunbar wrote this poem in Historical Black American English (called African American Vernacular English).
