We sacrificed children for the sake of adults

I am so tired of this “oh we didn’t know” line.

Actually we did know. I knew. Millions knew.

I knew that lockdowns would harm more than help and cause untold destruction. I knew the shot wouldn’t be optional and that “vaccine passports” would come. I knew we’d be paying the price for years because of our overblown, tyrannical, top-down, “one-size-fits-all” approach to covid.

Anyone with half a brain could’ve told you that keeping healthy people—especially kids—at home, away from schooling and socialization, would have disastrous effects in both the short and longterm. We sounded the alarm, and you didn’t listen. We knew healthy kids weren’t at risk of complications due to covid. We knew it was mostly elderly and obese and infirm people—yet we continued to pretend as if everyone was equally at risk. And worst of all: we demanded—for over 2 years straight—that kids sacrifice for adults, when it should ALWAYS be the other way around. ​⁠ ​⁠
