Moon and Venus in the evening sky
11
The young moon has returned to the evening sky and is sweeping past two planets in the west after sunset. The planets are the sky’s brightest, Venus, and the most elusive, Mercury. Venus reached superior conjunction on January 8th. That means Venus was closest to the Sun on the 8th (as seen from Earth), and after that date, Venus is returning to the evening sky for most of 2018. By April, the moon will no longer be visible in the west after sunset.
Date filmed 2018.03.19 Shooted from the 57th degree of latitude.
