Curse of the Demon

Also known as Night of the Demon this 957 horror classic blends elements of film noir with the supernatural pulp adventures that were popular at the time. The plot is simple - An American professor travels to London for a parapsychology conference at which he intends to expose a cult leader only to discover that leader’s curses are real. But that simple premise created a sub genre of horror that persists to this day.
