What are people going to remember us for, what will they say about our life? For Nathan Bedford Forrest there are truly mixed accounts of his life and when I think of our American history filled with "Good, Bad and the Ugly, this man comes to mind" but for the grace of God and the love of Jesus Christ and the powerful gospel of Jesus Christ. This ruthless Confederate General was saved and used in the love of Jesus Christ to help the Blacks he once inslaved and made millions. Luke 19:8 " But Zaccheus stopped and said to the Lord, “Behold, Lord, half of my possessions I am giving to the poor, and if I have extorted anything from anyone, I am giving back four times as much.”
This true story is one of my favorites in a demonstration of how America is a Bible based, Christian heritage Constitutional Republic.
