Joan of Arc: The Saintly Warrior (1412 - 1431)

Joan of Arc, born in Domrémy in 1412, emerged as a key figure during the Hundred Years' War between France and England. Inspired by visions and a divine calling, she convinced Charles VII to let her lead the French army against English forces. Her strategic brilliance led to significant victories, including the lifting of the siege of Orléans. Captured by the Burgundians in 1430, Joan was tried for heresy and ultimately executed by burning at the stake in Rouen. Canonized as a saint in 1920, Joan of Arc's legacy endures as a symbol of courage, faith, and patriotism in France and beyond.
