Britain's racism is deeply embedded, and the appointment of minorities to high office - like Rishi Sunak becoming PM - appears to have done little to solve the underlying systemic discrimination.

We react to the UK parliament's handling of a racist remark directed at Britain's first Black female MP, Diane Abbott. Her experience of abuse was co-opted by both sides of the UK establishment to score political points.
