Suspect arrested for trying to carjack elderly woman at Milford Kroger

Milford police say a man has been arrested for an attempted carjacking of an elderly woman in the parking lot of a Kroger on Wednesday afternoon. According to police, it happened around 12:30 p.m. at the Kroger on Highland Ave.  We're told the man approached the elderly woman and tried to carjack her. A Good Samaritan in the parking lot interfered and helped the woman while someone else called 911. The suspect is currently in jail awaiting arraignment on charges.
