South Africa: Ruling ANC Party Takes Rival Opposition Party to Court

South Africa’s ruling African National Congress is taking the newly formed rival party MK backed by former President Jacob Zuma to court. The ruling party says that MK party should be deregistered and disqualified from contesting in the May 29 general elections. Meanwhile leaders from Zuma’s MK party say they will start a “civil war” if their party is disqualified.
