Mayor John Cranley cited retaliatory and abusive behavior as some of the reasons he wants City Manager Harry Black to leave, finally breaking his silence more than a week after chaos first engulfed City Hall. The mayor spoke to reporters in his office Wednesday afternoon, after a City Council meeting that was notable for no mention of the controversy by any elected official.
