USA. Los Angeles woman drives her car into the ocean in a high-speed police chase, trapping her dogs in the car.

With the dogs still in the car, the woman then jumped into the ocean and started swimming "like a professional athlete." The chase started in downtown Los Angeles & finished at Venice Beach. Police initially tried pulling her over for speeding.

The woman tried evading police boats by swimming but eventually gave up. Lifeguards went up to the boat to check if anyone was inside and were surprised to find a Boston Terrier.

One of the dogs was rescued and the other managed to escape the vehicle. The dogs were taken by animal control and the woman was taken to the hospital.
