Mario Bros (Atari 2600) -- Game Manuals Were Cool

In the old days, video games came with paper manuals, and--in many cases—these manuals were full of cool art, bonkers worldbuilding, game tips, and extra creative details.

Before the NES, Nintendo’s main mascot, Mario, made appearances on Atari game systems. Let’s take a look at the manual for Mario Bros for the Atari 2600. This one has some awesome early art, and claims Mario isn’t a plumber, but something else entirely. Enjoy!
