DSS Calendar Year - 5784 or 5948?

Tonight, we continue looking at the Dead Sea Scroll calendar mentioned in Enoch 72-82. We will focus on what year it is and how the years got changed. March 20, 2024 will start the New Year of 5949 on the Dead Sea Scroll calendar, but only 5784 on the modern Jewish calendar. We will also look at how the leap year system works.

Understanding God's original calendar not only helps to understand when things are occurring in the Scriptures, but it also gives a firmer base for understanding Bible prophecy. We will also learn from the Book of Jubilees how God's original calendar was corrupted from a solar one to a lunar one.
