Yle TV1 is a Finnish television channel owned and operated by Finnish public broadcaster Yle. It is the first and oldest television channel in Finland and was founded on 1 January 1958 as Suomen Televisio. It changed its name to TV-ohjelma 1 in 1965 and then changed it again to what they are currently known as, YLE TV1, in 1972.
