The nuclear flying aircraft carrier

This will probably be the craziest plane you've ever seen. This is Lockheed Martin's CL-1201 and its an gargantuan nuclear powered flying aircraft carrier designed at the request of the US Airforce. Its mission? Oh to just carry over 3000 troops and over 24 small fighter aircraft while being the ultimate power move. The end result was a giant plane that faced a lot of issues. For one how do you build a nuclear reactor compact and powerful enough to push 6000 tones into the air and then what happens if the plane crashes, like does the area now become radioactive? Engineers pulled some sci-fi and completely unrealistic tricks to get around these issues but the cost to actually build a plane like this was just too much, i mean no shit and this led to the project being cancelled.
