"That's life," Vladimir Putin told an NBC reporter in response to questions about opposition figures and those questioning Russia's 'democracy.'

Putin said some candidates simply didn't have the votes. Regarding the circumstances of Alexey Navalny's passing, he added mere days before his death he'd agreed to consider an exchange with America.

Putin went on to describe what's happening to the only opposition candidate in America - Donald Trump - undemocratic.
