Joey Barton fight freedom of speech like AD £500,000 case

Joey Barton has launched a fundraising campaign after BBC Radio 2 presenter Jeremy Vine took legal action following the former footballer labelling him a 'bike nonce' on social media.

Vine reportedly filed a defamation claim last week after posts made by Barton compared Vine to paedophiles such as Rolf Harris.

Barton wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, that Vine's legal action 'could easily cost me up to £500k'.
