For a very long time, anyone who was poor, sick, mentally ill, or just different was said to come from the Wrong Side of the Tracks. They were rejected by those who either because of their wealth or religious status and often treated horribly. We may not use the exact same words, but does this still happen today, especially in the Modern American Church?

The Wrong Side of the Tracks - Jesus Loves Them. Do You?

How often is someone ignored, attacked, or thrown out of "church" because of who they are or how they look? Way too often. And it is wrong. Jesus taught us just the opposite and expects us to do what He taught us. He sought out people who would have been considered to be from "the wrong side of the tracks". Loved them and showed them they mattered. Let's start doing the same before it is too late for us and we are the ones on the wrong side of the chasm.

Join the Conversation.

Join us as we discuss "The Wrong Side of the Tracks". And all the ways we are wrong when we look down on others because they are not like us, do not have the income level we do, or do not act and dress like we think they should. Instead, let's see how Jesus responded when surrounded by people the Religious Elite wanted nothing to do with.

Please join us in praying for and support our Youth Outreach work among teens who need the Love and Hope of God so desperately. And particularly that we would be able to find a building for them to meet in. To do this, we need regular support and for churches across the country to come alongside as #missions partners.

A Voice Crying In The Desert is a Faith-based Missions Outreach Ministry that is not affiliated with any church or denomination, although we are willing to work with any church or denomination that will work with us. We are trusting God to provide for us financially and to send in workers. Donations currently go to support providing Free Study Bibles and Devotionals to anyone who requests one and to our Youth Outreach in the Bloomingdale and Nebraska Neighborhoods of Fort Wayne, two of the poorest in this city. Our Youth Outreach is focused on helping teens who have no peace, hope, or a future. We offer Teens Nights where they can have food, fun, and real conversation about life as well as monthly outings to do activities they would never be able to do. All at no cost to them. If you feel led by the Holy Spirit to help us fulfill reach these teens or to fulfill our vision with a financial donation, you can send it to James Carter through VENMO: James-Carter-1054 or CashApp: $jjcarter7136. Or contact James Carter for information on how to mail a donation to us.
