Strauss gives Arthur two names of the men he needs to collect money from. The first one, a unemployed man named Winton Holmes, is located in a camp north of Strawberry and is unable to pay back his debt.
The other, Gwyn Hughes, is an undertaker apprentice who is unable to pay back his debt.
