Beware: US Government is Investigating China Stealing Car Data

The US government has launched an investigation into the national security risks posed by foreign-made vehicles with internet connectivity—especially those made in China. Most cars are now connected to other systems, including phones, navigation systems, critical infrastructure and the companies that made them. This data is being collected and sold, but there is so much more. Watch and see.

As such, “connected vehicles from China could collect sensitive data about our citizens and our infrastructure and send this data back to the People’s Republic of China.”

Additionally, the White House warned that these vehicles could be remotely accessed or disabled on US roads.
