Baby Girl Tries To Eat A Frog

Babies will eat anything. That's one of the core facts of our lives. Death, taxes and babies will eat anything. And don't think for a second that frogs are any exception. Especially if we judge the baby girl in this video.

It is like her parents never learn. They keep handing her the frog and she keeps trying to eat it. Who knows? Maybe she is from Louisiana and this is just sort of a thing, but her mom's reaction may suggest otherwise. Either way, it is easy to get a good laugh on a little kid who does not quite know what she is eating. Gross, but hilarious.

Babies discover the world by putting things in their mouths, otherwise known as mouthing, and by world we mean absolutely everything that gets in their way: toys, furniture, the food you give them, the spoon you use to feed them, the napkin you use to wipe them after feeding, your fingers, their fingers… This is not only normal, but also points to a growing interest in the world around them. The more they explore, the more they learn. The baby is learning to master her hand movements, like reaching and grabbing, but is not practiced enough to use the fingers yet. Mouthing helps babies learn all about different shapes and textures. They also learn what feels good and tastes good, and what doesn't -- so your child will only mouth a frog only once.
