Sheriff deputies chase after thug on the beach

The Volusia Co. Sheriff’s Office released bodycam video of officers springing into action on Thursday at New Smyrna Beach when a 16-year-old pulled a gun during an altercation amongst spring breakers. Officers on patrol chased him as he then proceeded to run into the ocean.

He tossed the handgun and several baggies into the ocean before surrendering a few minutes later.
