FDNY Commissioner Laura Kavanagh, an Ivy League plant with zero previous fire fighting experience, responded to the incident by sending an email vowing to “hunt down” all those involved, announcing that the Bureau of Investigation and Trials (BITS) will investigate the matter.

“BITS is investigating this so they will figure out who the members are. I have been told by the Commissioner It will be better for them if they come forward and we don’t have to hunt them down,” the email reads. Adding “I realize members might not come forward but they should know that there is clear video of the entire incident and they will be contacted by BITS if they don’t,” it added.

As the New York Post reported, the Internal communications from firefighter unions, including the Uniformed Fire Officers Association (UFOA), circulated memos condemning the stunt.

The memo goes on to say that the guilty parties will be “educated” over their behavior, stating We want the members to come forward. They will come to HQ to be educated why their behavior is unacceptable.

A pair of Staten Island lawyers have offered to represent any FDNY for free if the Commissioner ignores the First Amendment. Internally, morale in the NYFD is crumbling. According to the New York Post "The FDNY is refusing to move anyone who took the civil service exam for lieutenant in December 2022 up the career ladder — thanks to a screwup by the Department of Citywide Administrative Services.

The entire crackdown is unconstitutional on its face. But it is a stark reminder of the level of fascism rising amongst City offices emboldened by the madness of the creeping Marxism of the left.
