2 arrested as parking argument ends in gunfire near UC

Parking near the University of Cincinnati can make anybody want to pull their hair out, but two women are behind bars Friday morning after losing their cool over a parking spot. Imari Loggins, 20, of Cincinnati, and Shani Wilson, 43, of Canal Winchester, are charged with assault after police say they punched, kicked and slammed Marlisa Nelson against a store window in the 200 block of Calhoun Street, where Loggins resides. Police say they got into a disagreement over parking. It wasn't until Nelson pulled out a gun and fired one shot into the ground that Loggins and Wilson backed off, police said. Nelson was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center with significant but non-life-threatening injuries. Police say she has a permit to carry a weapon and is not expected to be charged. Loggins and Wilson are expected to face a judge in court at 12:30 p.m. Friday.
