Range Session

📽 Heres a longer edit from my range session last weekend.

I was on my own, so I decided to focus on some reps on basics with a little movement thrown in to mix it up a little.
The breakdown on all the drills I ran is:

- 1 round from holster @ 10m and 25m
- 2 rounds from holster @ 10m and 25m
- 2 rounds from holster on 3 targets 1m apart @ 10m
- 1 round from holster @ 25m move to 15m and engage target up to 10m
- 1 reload 1 from holster @ 10m and 25m - Get off the X (move while reloading)
- 1 round from high ready @ 10m and 25m
- 1 round from low ready @ 10m and 25m
- 2 round from high ready @ 10m and 25m
- 2 round from low ready @ 10m and 25m
- 1 reload 1 from high ready @ 10m
- 1 reload 1 from low ready @ 10m
- 2 rounds from low ready on 3 targets 1m apart @ 10m
- 2 rounds from low ready on 2 targets 3m apart @ 10m
- 22422 drill 3 targets 1m apart @ 10m

Overall it was a pretty low round count day (under 150) and got lots of great reps on draw, marksmanship, recoil management and a bunch of other core skills.

I ran some 1R1 reps to get a better feel for the wk-180 and the GSG-16. Both have really different reload mechanics and I definitely need to drill that some more.

I also struggled with some mag changes due to using older slightly out of spec G17 mags in my G19. They just were NOT dropping cleanly. I turned this into an opportunity and got some good reps in with a "Get off the X" drill and a worst case scenario of a stuck mag.

Overall definitely lots of improvement required. Looks like I will have to invest a little more time dryfire training in the future.
