Dik-Dik Power Animal
www.poweranimals.info Dik-dik is the name for any of the four species of small antelopes living in the bushland of eastern and southern Africa. They have a slender build, excellent eyesight, large ears, and elongated snouts. Fully grown they stand only about 16 inches tall and weigh about 16 lbs. Their little size and light brown color allows them to blend in and navigate through dense vegetation. The adaptable dik-dik feeds on a variety of plants, leaves, buds, fruit, and berries. Their high metabolism allows them to digest food quickly with the help of micro-organisms in their four-chambered stomachs.
Dik-diks form long-lasting pairs that defend their territories with eye, dung, and urine secretions creating a smelly boundary which deters intruders. When startled they take off in a zig zag pattern. They’re agile and fast, capable of reaching speeds of up to 26 mph. The dik-dik is a symbol of loyalty, peacefulness, and adaptability. Call on their spirit when you’re in a challenging environment. Visit our website to learn more and to get your free power animal reading. Thank you for subscribing and have a great day.
