Exclusive Interview with BKFC CEO David Feldman: Inside the World of Bare Knuckle Fighting
In an exclusive interview with Knuckletown host Big Face, David Feldman, the CEO and founder of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC), provided insights into the league's rapid growth, expansion plans, and commitment to its fighters and fans.
The conversation, shed light on BKFC's journey from its meek beginnings to becoming one of the fastest-growing combat sports organizations globally.
Feldman, a former boxer with a passion for the sport, recounted the challenges he faced in bringing bare knuckle fighting into the mainstream. "We started off with just one bare knuckle fight, and now, 78 events later, we're gearing up for our 79th event. It's been an unbelievable journey," Feldman said.
Addressing the league's popularity surge, Feldman credited the exciting matchups and the fighter-centric approach as key factors. "We give the fans what they want. It's not just about the promoters making money; it's about the fans and the fighters. The fans drive this thing," he emphasized.
Regarding BKFC's expansion plans, Feldman revealed ambitious moves into international markets. From South Korea to South Africa, Mexico to Japan, and even Bulgaria, BKFC is eyeing global domination. "We're starting partnerships in South Korea and Japan, and we're exploring opportunities in South America," Feldman announced.
The interview also touched upon BKFC's upcoming marquee event, "Knucklemania," set to take place in Los Angeles on April 20th. Feldman expressed excitement about the star-studded lineup and the potential for the event to further solidify BKFC's status as a premier combat sports organization.
Reflecting on BKFC's fighter-first philosophy, Feldman emphasized the importance of treating fighters with respect and fairness. "You're going out there risking your life, and you're going to be treated like you're doing that, and we're going to reward you like you're doing that," he affirmed.
Feldman's commitment to nurturing homegrown talent was evident as he discussed BKFC's Prospect Series, aimed at developing the next generation of bare knuckle stars. "We have to build our own stars, and that's what we're doing," he declared.
As the interview concluded, Feldman expressed gratitude to the fighters, fans, and dedicated team members who have contributed to BKFC's success. "It's like a little family, and the family's growing bigger and bigger," he remarked.
With BKFC poised for continued growth and expansion, fueled by its fighter-centric ethos and global ambitions, the future looks bright for bare knuckle fighting on the world stage.
