You weren’t forced to get the covid shot

No one was forced to get the covid shot. I know that’ll upset a lot of folks. But the only way for next time to be different is to realize that you had and have agency and power—despite needing food and money and shelter just like we all do. Work on becoming more self-sufficient for next time, yes, but also admit that you were not literally forced, that millions of people just like you walked away or were fired from jobs and careers, and they were scared and needed money and had kids. And you should’ve stood with them—for your own sake, for your kids’ sakes, for all our sakes.
Saying you were forced, erases the stories of us who made terribly hard choices. You weren’t forced. You’re very rarely forced. It was an awful situation that NO ONE should’ve ever been put in, but take responsibility for the choice you made within that situation.
