On Wednesday, the judge overseeing the Georgia 2020 election interference case took action by dismissing some charges against former President Donald Trump and others.

However, the extensive racketeering indictment remains largely intact.

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee nullified six counts in the indictment, including three against Trump, who is the presumed 2024 Republican presidential nominee.

Nevertheless, the judge upheld other counts, including 10 against Trump, and indicated that prosecutors could pursue a new indictment to potentially reinstate the dismissed charges, the Associated Press reported.
