Record amounts of rainfall hit the Nullarbor Plain (#Australia).
The Eyre weather station in south-east WA recorded 325mm of rainfall over four days. This is more than the average annual rainfall here. A century-old record was broken: 203.8 mm of precipitation fell in March 1912.
The rains flooded a large sheep station. Rawlinna, roughly the size of the Sydney metropolis, is the largest sheep station in the country and supports 60,000 sheep. After the rains, the station began to resemble a lake. Station workers even use kayaks to transport the chickens to safety.
