This is one of the top political scandals in Georgia. Kemp promised 7500 jobs from Rivian. With Rivian’s GA plant paused, the massive site’s fate is uncertain. Kemp brought in Rivian for a boost in his 2022 governor race with the help of the economic development authority.
GA economic development commissioner is grilled by Senate republicans after Rivian puts its $5B plant in east GA on hold. Pat Wilson says the state has already spent $141M on the state controlled site. $141M was wasted, it was more than we paid for the dominion machines. It would be enough to replace our voter system. We would put every absentee ballot on the return receipt to keep the chain of custody for our ballots.
Wouldn’t it be nice if they met the obligations to the people to discontinue the use of the voting machines.
It is not about 2024. It is about 2026.
