Senator Thomas Albert says he is asked by constituents twice a year why we are observing Daylight Saving Time and he thinks our health would be better by staying on standard time, which would align the state with Central time in the summer and Eastern time in the winter. He says it will take public pressure to get the bill up for a committee vote and also a vote on the Senate floor. Albert says the issue will "fall by the wayside" unless people make it a priority.
