Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp ginger, minced
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground coriander
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tbsp vegetable oil
2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions:
Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
Add minced garlic and ginger, and cook for another minute until fragrant.
Add ground beef to the pan and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.
Stir in ground cumin, ground coriander, turmeric powder, garam masala, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Remove from heat and let the filling cool slightly.
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface. Cut each sheet into squares or rectangles, depending on the desired size of your puffs.
Place a spoonful of the beef filling in the center of each pastry square. Fold the pastry over the filling to form a triangle or rectangle, then crimp the edges with a fork to seal.
Place the assembled puffs on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and flaky.
Remove from the oven and let the puffs cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your homemade Indian Beef Puffs!
