Five killed when small jet crashes into hillside while attempting emergency landing in Virginia

A tragic incident unfolded as a private jet, identified as the twin-engine IAI Astra 1125, crashed just short of the runway at a small airport in Virginia.

The crash occurred around 3 p.m. on Sunday near Ingalls Field Airport in the Hot Springs area of Bath County, approximately 160 miles northwest of Richmond, as reported by WSLS.

The business jet, attempting an emergency landing, descended along an airport road, resulting in the loss of five lives, including a child aged between 5 and 7.

The victims include the pilot, co-pilot, and three passengers. The identities of the individuals have not yet been disclosed, the New York Post reported.
