Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Has Been Let Down By the PS5 and Woke Gaming

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is one of, if not the greatest games ever made. It has been crafted with love, attention to detail and vision that few other pieces of art are rendered with in modern times. It will be remembered as a classic, even if the initial sales data indicates that few get to experience it's greatness first hand.

Sales data out of Japan is tracking well behind the first Remake and well behind Final Fantasy XVI. Digital Sales didn't have the game debut at number one, opening the week at number two behind Helldivers 2.

The PlayStation 5 being a lackluster, underpowered system is largely to blame. The exclusivity drastically hurt the sales data and a AAA Gaming Industry that has been painted with an ideological brush that a game that doesn't have a hint of woke gets lumped in with.

Rebirth is a masterpiece and if you have a PlayStation 5, you owe it to yourself to play this amazing game. A PC port will fix several issues and limitations, so hopefully that comes sooner or later so more people can experience the best game of the year!
