Ancient Greek philosophers, including Aristotle, explored the concept of natural law.
Cicero referred to it in ancient Roman philosophy.
References to natural law are also found in the Old and New Testaments of the Bible.
Christian philosophers like Albert the Great and Thomas Aquinas further developed natural law during the Middle Ages.
