The Great Dane OF Texas

Siri left her foster’s house for a cross-country trip to a new home, but that wasn’t in the universe plans.
She got out for a potty break at the New Florence exit on I-70, and was startled and tore away from her transporter. She managed to lose the leash and collar and ran to the tiny town of New Florence.
For several days, her foster and a whole group of area dog lovers tried to figure out where the tall girl went, and by the time they called us in, our new friend Marcia Sofarelli had already figured out the general area she was in, and had sightings to back it up. That info put us right in a yard next to a very overgrown field.
The property owners kept food there and we kept watch, sometimes sitting out there for many hours- until she finally showed up after a cold rain.
She ate there a few times, but never while we were near enough to trap. Until the one day everything lined up.
Siri was fostered in Texas, and went to live with her foster permanently, so now she’s a true Texan.
Some dogs have all the luck. (I miss Texas.)
In case you did not know, Big Paw Rescue Trapping does not charge for our service. However, we do take monetary gifts to help fund our fuel and supplies
