Europol finds ‘torture rooms’ used by drug gangs amid unprecedented violence

The EU is seeing an unprecedented level of drug-related violence, comparable to Central America, the Europol law enforcement agency has claimed, adding it has made some disturbing discoveries inside the bloc's borders. Security officials say the booming EU drug trade is valued at around €30 BILLION, but note it’s a very rough estimate, and the number could be much higher.
