Addis Ababa is the capital and largest city of Ethiopia. It is located in the geographical center of the country on a well-watered plateau surrounded by hills and mountains. Sometimes referred to as the capital of Africa, Addis Ababa is a vibrant center of economic, social and political activity and is home to notable offices such as the African Union and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa.
