Curtis & Nancy Sliwa receive the "Guardians of New York" award

Curtis Sliwa, founder of the Guardian Angels and former Republican candidate for NYC Mayor, is on the radio weekdays from 12 noon to 1pm and other time slots with talk shows on WABC, “Always Broadcasting Curtis.” Nancy Sliwa is an attorney and Animal Activist who founded the Guardian Angels Animal Protection Division. Together they operate as a team on the radio and on the streets of New York City with the motto “we dare to care” and have proved it over and over though the years, and therefore are the honorable recipients of the “Guardians of New York" award.
