Riding behind a EMD F40PH-3C train on the MBTA Newburyport/Rockport line! From Boston to Salem

Recorded on 2/24/24. Me and William were planning to go to the Northshore Mall to ride the Montgomery elevators and William recommended riding the commuter rail up to the closest station near the mall and then taking an Uber to the mall. This idea was recommended since we did not ride any commuter rail trains during the Boston 2023 trip. So this was a fun experience! Even better, we got to ride behind a beautiful EMD F40PH-3C diesel locomotive! These locomotives are legends! EMD equipment is so well built that its engines can last forever with care. It's also cool to see how these old EMD locomotives can accommodate a couple of multilevel cab cars, which is something they cannot do on New Jersey Transit. They are always a treat to see! We rode up to Salem Station since Salem is the closest to Northshore Mall. The automated announcements use the same computerized voice as the Toyota Tacoma pickup truck screens. Enjoy the ride!
