Donald Trump says US will have “great economy” if elected president

Donald Trump and Joe Biden dominated the Super Tuesday primary elections across 16 states to set up the rematch for president most voters say they do not want.

Trump easily won most of the contests against his last Republican rival, Nikki Haley, to put himself within touching distance of formally becoming his party’s presumptive nominee next week when four more states vote.

By 2.30am Wednesday on the East Coast, Trump had won 13 states including the biggest prizes of California, Texas and North Carolina, with counting continuing in Utah.
