Israel’s lies are beginning to catch up with it.

From UNWRA, to The Flour Massacre, to the deaths of journalists and more, Israel's lies are coming undone fast.
Right, so as we move into March, it is already shaping up to be a bad month for Israel on the propaganda front, as numerous narratives and lies have begun to collapse and not before time and deservedly so. The UN have not bought into Israel’s claims over the recent Flour Massacre, the Israeli claims concerning UNRWA are falling apart, even the BBC is now blaming Israel specifically for the deaths of journalists in Gaza as well as making claims against them for manipulating video footage. Are we going to see a meaningful shift in support for Israel shortly? Well with the US and Genocide Joe still unashamedly supporting them, that’s unlikely, but more and more they and Israel are finding themselves isolated and on the wrong side of global opinion.
Right, so Israel having a bad time of it on the public relations front will be music to the ears of those of us calling out their atrocities in Gaza. It won’t call a ceasefire, it won’t save lives lost overnight as Israel continue their genocide in Gaza, but it will put more pressure on them as they continue to lose public support and on those still supporting them, such as the US and UK governments.
Let’s start with UNRWA, the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees, who’s work in Gaza has for years been pretty much the difference between being able to survive there under Israeli occupation. Israel made unsubstantiated claims against this agency, who they hate, because they support the Gazan people, amongst other Palestinians elsewhere. They made claims that UNRWA workers had aided Hamas in their actions on the night of October 7th, unsubstantiated, but their word, despite the many lies they had come out with over the last 5 months, the many times they had been widely debunked as lies already, was still good enough for some, to withdraw their funding for UNRWA, which they rely on to keep going. Well, it’s been a month since these claims were made. The loss of funding from gullible nations, the US chiefly amongst them, their sap of a Secretary of State Antony Blinken on record as saying the evidence was high quality despite also admitting he hadn’t seen it and Israel have failed to pony up any evidence backing up this assertion a month on. UNRWA had already stated they likely weren’t going to survive beyond the end of February because of this, so Israel’s word has been good enough to endanger the crucial work of this organisation. Some nations, such as Ireland and Spain have increased funding to help stave off UNRWA’s demise, being close to half a billion dollars worth of funding down is not easily replaceable and Israel, seeing itself being able to get away with lying with impunity saw an opportunity to rid itself of an agency they have wanted gone since they first came into being in 1949.
