Woman Plays Victim After She Pickpockets $2500 From Man at Casino

On December 19th, 2021, Des Plaines Police responded to Rivers Casino in regards to a disturbance. Prior to arrival, 9-1-1 dispatch stated there was an altercation between a male and a female subject. When the officers arrived they met with the male and a witness. They advised that the female subject took $2500 out of his pocket. The female subject, later identified as Kirlilah Calhoun, had taken the money and fled before officers arrived. The man alerted casino security and notified dispatchers that she was driving away from the casino while intoxicated. A description was given out to other responding officers. A few minutes later, an officer pulled over a vehicle matching the description.

Calhoun was taken to the police station where a further search was conducted. The officer located $3,300 inside of her pants. Calhoun was arrested and charged with theft over $500, driving under the influence, speeding and improper traffic lane usage. Calhoun also had an outstanding warrant out of Florida related to theft. She was accused of stealing a $9,000 watch from a man who she met at the Seminole Hard Rock casino. In addition, Calhoun was recently arrested in Wisconsin on February 24th but her charges were later dismissed.
