history of my great grandfather 9th generation

I found this on YouTube this evening after punching in my great grandfather's name Samuel Gorton. I had to watch it twice because what I thought I was hearing is exactly what you will hear. after getting a charter from the English king in government he was able to found the town of Warwick Rhode Island. later on as a separate plantation colony as they were called back then the one of Newport and Warwick declared that they were anti-slavery. my family has never enslaved a human being and always thought it should be illegal. to be an indentured servant you could only do 10 years and it had to be between the ages of 14 and 24. it could not happen before could not happen after those ages. and the fact that they included verbatim no white or black man that it was put into these documents and declared as law, a shortcoming made in one of our own founding documents the declaration of Independence. it has been brought up many times that it is not stated in the declaration of Independence that black men were recognized and considered to be human men. they will always looked upon as property and yet Thomas Jefferson our third president felt the same way that my great grandfather's charter upheld and declared. you have no idea the amount of pride I have right now and the fact that I know I am on the right side of what is going on today. just as my passion to protect this country and to get back to where it needs to be where it was and where it should be has been waning on me as well as many personal relationships. just when I felt that maybe they all got a point I'm too passionate what does it matter anyway? what am I going to accomplish with my mouth and my anger? they still have a valid point perhaps I need to curtail my behavior and just keep it to myself. then don't be surprised if I ignore you and just tell you don't worry about it. perhaps I mean your brain is too small to even fathom how important this is to me knowing this history of my family. and not everyone is going to understand it. I don't expect them to but you're not the little me because I feel that way don't demonize me don't make me feel guilty don't you dare because as far as I'm concerned I have every right to be proud. if you have the same pride or something bigger just as equal or even smaller I would be happy for your pride so long as it was right. now if you feel that it's not right then maybe you're in the wrong country because I'm just one person he was just one person Samuel Gordon but he wasn't alone and I know I'm not alone so if you don't like it you can go somewhere else. aren't you lucky that you live in a free country well you can make a decision like that instead of being trapped and forced to stay like they do in other places in the world. aren't you damn lucky? now you know why I fight and why for generations my family has done so and why I am so proud to carry it on nine generations later. how could anybody be ashamed of that? and if you are?
Then I will see you on the battlefield but I promise you that I will be the only one leaving it
